The Snúra dog sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. It is shaped to fit the proportions of Whippets but may also suit dogs with a similar build. The fit works for both male and female dogs.

The neckline is finished with an I-cord. The pattern includes two methods for working it.

The yoke is worked in the round, alternating full increase rounds with short rows at the front. This adds room for the chest while creating more length over the front of the chest than over the back.

Once the required width is reached, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold, stitches are cast on across the leg openings, and the body is continued in the round. Decreases and ribbing shape the belly.

The back section is worked flat in garter stitch with I-cord edging. It is shaped with short rows and decreases, then finished with an I-cord bind-off.
